Coloring Tutorial part II by kheleksul Coloring Tutorial part II by kheleksul

... I'll probably change this later, since I didn't do a good coloring job, and I fear its too vague and not-at-all informative. o__o Of course, I probably won't, just because its too annoying to make tutorials. Good ones, anyway. >>

-> Open Canvas 1.1, Adobe Photoshop 5.5

This may be old and ugly, but it helped me remember where light hits faces.
Thanks so much.

oh noes, but this is such an old and outdated tutorial. D8;;; *hides it* My style's evolved so much since this I don't think I have the right to display this tutorial anymore. >___________< 'm glad it helped, but I'm sorry I couldn't have a better one to point you to. D:

could I have those brush settings??

kheleksul Featured By Owner Sep 10, 2008
I can't give you them, since my computer fried. XD;;; I don't even have a computer at the moment. Honestly, though, just play around with them until you find brush settings you prefer using. :)

Does OC 1.1 just randomly crash on you like it does me? -_-''
MinorTechnicality Featured By Owner Oct 8, 2006  Hobbyist Artist
x) I recently redownloaded it from another site and it hasn't crashed on me yet.. ... I have bad luck with computer programs. -.-''
kheleksul Featured By Owner Oct 7, 2006
Eeeeh.... no. >> It used to, when I used the computer I used to use in Taiwan... but then I moved, and got a new computer in which oC1.1 DOESN'T crash....? Maybe it's your computer? @@' *isn't tech-savvy enough to be able to say anything conclusive*

Simple and straight to the point.I loved it.
AKuwaNeKo Featured By Owner Feb 2, 2006
You can say it sucks, but I like to see how opencanvas users do it. I'm always stuck messing with opacity, not pressure, because I'm lazy--but I'm sure one day that will come back to haunt me. O_o

In step four, by 'basically', and above 'LYKE. OMFG. POO.' XDD There's a new in there with a typo. I didn't know if someone told you or not. XDDD BUT yes I read the whole thing, and it helps, because I'm really...really bad at coloring =3

Thanks for the tutorial. <3

*is enlightened* Sweet stuff :D

When you said, 'create a diff layer for each new color', you meant create a new layer for each section, like the hat, her skin, her shirt, etc, right? ^^;
