CGhub's drawing jam #8: David vs Goliath: "the topic David vs Goliath isn't limited to the biblical story but more the idea of lil' underdog vs the (seemingly) stronger/bigger opponent"
Massively fun to draw. Enjoy. I know it's not my usual stock, but I'm getting tired of seeing hairless monkeys in my gallery.
Oh yea, and no one else commented on the apparent shallowness of the water, and the way that tail just comes out of it. Says my sister, the only person who noticed, "it must be part water creature part dune worm, to be able to burrow so deeply into the sand underneath the surface so easily". So. Just so you know. It's part water creature, part dune worm, part flying monster. *rofl*
Higher resolution images will be available in real life (re: conventions), but won't be posted online. Sorry! :<

Wonderful work as always. There's an awesome sense of scale and perspective in this piece, especially with how you can see coils of the beast further back in the distance, you wonder exactly HOW big it is. XD
(I totally would not have noticed the water depth thing if you hadn't said something. For all we know the kid's standing on part of a sand bar that just drops off past that point, though! ;D )
OMG O_O He fished a BIG fish, for sure ! XD I-I love that pic, it's made of awesomeness ♥ I like the colors and omg the monster design is so uber cool ♥♥
-- You agree that the painting looks like ketchup over grass ?
re: how big> So we're comparing sizes now, are we?
(AAH like that national geographic (maybe?) picture that had the guy "standing on the ocean" but it was really just an elevated sand bar! YOU'RE RIGHT! IT STILL WORKS! *cheers!* XDDDD)

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
