I realize I'm simply C+Ping this from the original journal entry, but I really don't have a better way of putting things:


Colombia, a country located in South America, has been suffering from constant rain since September last year. Due to that, the lower lands are flooded, that is, 28 out of 32 states. The rest of the territory, found in the Andes, is also in danger because the rain water that accumulated in the soil causes deadly landslides.

To help these people, who have lost their homes, we have planned a charity Artbook, featuring various artists from all around the world that would like to donate their works to raise funds for the most needed. The Artbook will be called GAIA: vim naturae, and the theme will be "The power of nature", be it to create or to destroy.

I'm not sure if some of you guys are aware, but I'm currently listed as a contributor to the Boiled Fish Artbook Project. Listed, yes, but here's the problem: I never signed up to participate.

Seeing as the project's been up and running since August, you'd think my non-participation would've been announced sooner. To be frank, I wasn't aware I was listed as a part of the project up till a month ago, and, since talking to the project manager about it, I've been waiting for an announcement explaining the mishap. However, as an explanation is not forthcoming, I feel I owe it to my watchers to tell them what's really going on:

I am NOT a part of the Boiled Fish Art Book Project. I never signed up, I never followed the project's deadlines, I was never contacted up till January about it, I never submitted pictures to it, and I most certainly did not expect to be drafted into it.

If this is, in any way, an inconvenience, or affects whether you would've pre-order the book (though I can't believe there are many who'd fall under that category, considering how I've never posted about it or otherwise alerted my watchers, but just in case!), I sincerely apologize; it was never my intention, and I'm sure it was never the intention of the rest of Boiled Fish. If this poses a problem for you, feel free to send BoiledFish a message, and I'm sure someone will take care of you.

I'm not around for a year, and then someone on another site wishes me a happy birthday, and, when I ask how they know, they say DA alerted them to it. So I decide to come back and check it out ... and I'm overwhelmed by all the kind well wishings! I had no idea there were so many people who cared, and... seriously. I really really want to thank you all.

You put a smile on my face, and I've been feeling light and fluffy ever since I read them all. Thank you so very much!

1. It was recently my birthday, and, to my surprise, I got gifts and messages from random people on the internet. WHICH WAS AWESOME. Because I don't advertise my birthday, and that there are people out there who care enough.... made my day, week, and probably month. Thanks, you guys. <3

2. I'm a bioengineer with a chemical engineering option. I also hate chemistry. WHY.

3. I mostly "finish" a picture because I get bored with it. I've only put forth my best effort in two images: rising of the second sun, and anima: holy paladin. And I still sputtered out at the last minute. For Christmas, I shall wish for more stamina. _{(oh, that sounds dirty)}

4. My walls are bare more because I don't know which prints to put up, as opposed to a lack of posters.

5. I'm very very bad at personal projects. They always die out after I barely start. But I'm hoping this next actually pans out. *crosses fingers*

6. I keep making up excuses not to go the gym. Wtf, self, IT'S JANUARY. DON'T GIVE UP BEFORE THE FIRST MONTH IS OUT!!!

7. I'm fairly certain DOTA killed my grades last semester.

8. I find apple juice more appealing than orange juice, but oranges tastier than apples.

9. I can't make myself flush a toilet without putting the seat down first; public toilets, therefore, are flushed by a quick shove with my foot (so I can run away faster). Sorry, people who flush by hand. I'm a little selfish. D8

10. I used to pretend I was a cabin boy (well, gender never mattered) on a pirate ship when it was my turn to wash dishes. I had so much fun I'd swap chores with my sister sometimes so I could wash more.

It strikes me as a little ridiculous (and highly improbable) that my internet provider can find enough account information to have me pay my bill, but not find enough account information for them to give me tech support.

Seriously.

I called to pay my bill, where the rep. helped look me up in their databases. I was then shuffled to tech support for a question I had. Suddenly they could not find my name, address, or account number (found on the carbon copy of the sales receipt I had in front of me, also previously given to helpful!rep, as well as confirmed by helpful!rep), any of which would have let them know 'Which Customer' I was.

I then presented the transaction number of the bill I just paid. So they found the transaction. And then told me they could not glean any information about my account from it.

Freaking A.

If you make a business, take business 101. No, make that Not Losing To Your Competition 101. Keep your customers happy, or they'll jump to another service. Oh wait, no, that's Common Sense 101. What a shame my apartment complex made a deal with this company that its occupants could only use their service.
